About the Venue
Q.E.D. Astoria is an intimate arts venue, comedy room, café, and private-event space on 23rd Avenue. Its built-in stage and audience layout make it especially useful for birthdays, showers, workshops, classes, readings, panels, comedy shows, small performances, screenings, corporate training, and location filming. The room has more personality than a generic rental hall while remaining flexible enough for both programmed entertainment and casual social gatherings.
The venue accommodates up to 74 guests and includes beer and wine service, a café bar, sound and presentation capability, Wi-Fi, restrooms, climate control, and accessible entry. Hosts can use the stage as the focus of an event or organize the room for mingling and seated conversation. Because Q.E.D. regularly operates as a performance venue, microphones, audience flow, and show timing are easier to manage than in an ordinary restaurant. It is a strong choice for small Queens gatherings that need privacy, character, and a ready-made presentation environment.Additionally, QED has a large back patio that is available for free, weather permitting.

Additional Rules
We ask that guests book 30 minutes before and after their events for set up/break down. There is a $25 fee for outside food. Rentals are $180/hour before 5 pm and $250/hour thereafter (weekday daytime is $75/hour).
