Refund Policy
VenueMagnet currently charges guests a $79 Reservation Fee. Hosts pay $0 in platform fees. This page explains when the Reservation Fee is and is not refundable.
What the $79 Reservation Fee is
The $79 Reservation Fee is a platform charge for processing and supporting a booking made through VenueMagnet.
- The Reservation Fee is charged to the guest when the booking request is submitted.
- If the host accepts the request, the $79 is applied toward the total booking cost as a platform fee.
- Any venue rental, deposits, or other charges are set by the host and are separate from the Reservation Fee.
Guest cancellations
If the guest cancels for any reason, the $79 Reservation Fee is not refundable.
This includes changes of plans, scheduling conflicts, weather concerns, or any other guest-initiated cancellation reason.
When VenueMagnet will refund the $79 Reservation Fee
VenueMagnet will only refund the Reservation Fee if the host materially fails to deliver the booking, such as:
- Host cancellation of an accepted booking
- Host unavailability at the agreed start time (no-show or unreachable)
- Access failure caused by the host (locked venue, incorrect codes, missing entry instructions, or access not provided)
- Material misrepresentation that prevents the booking from reasonably taking place (VenueMagnet review required)
VenueMagnet may review message history, timestamps, and other available information to confirm the issue before issuing a refund.
Important note about host-set charges
If a host separately collects venue rental, deposits, or other fees outside of VenueMagnet, those refunds (if any) are handled by the host according to the host’s terms. VenueMagnet’s refund policy applies only to the $79 Reservation Fee.
