Cinematic Bushwick Warehouse With Stage, Bar and RGB Lighting

Box of Moonlight is a 4,300-square-foot industrial warehouse at the crossroads of Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Ocean Hill. The century-old second-floor space combines exposed brick, steel columns, concrete floors, and ceilings ranging from approximately 12.5 to 14 feet. Its 3,230-square-foot main warehouse includes a wooden stage, an unstocked brick bar, a customizable television wall, and a sealed historic freight-elevator door that works as a dramatic production backdrop. Movable set pieces include mannequins, floor lamps, furniture, plants, and other distinctive props. The venue also includes a backstage room with mirrors and tables, a clock-covered room with a red velvet throne, a large tiled entrance hallway, a skylit rear stairwell, five bathrooms, closets, heating, air conditioning, strong electrical service, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

The flexible layout supports film productions, photo shoots, music videos, dance shoots, fashion projects, art exhibitions, screenings, performances, workshops, and private events. Included RGB lighting gives crews control over color, brightness, and temperature, while additional speakers, microphones, projectors, fog machines, C-stands, wardrobe racks, vanity equipment, tables, chairs, and stools are available as add-ons. Renters may bring outside food and alcohol, subject to venue policies, and free street parking is available nearby. The space is approximately two blocks from the Halsey J train. Access is by a 20-step staircase, and the freight elevator is not operational, so the venue is not wheelchair accessible. Audio levels become quieter after 10:30 p.m., and renters are responsible for setup time, cleanup, and returning the space to its original condition after every production or private event.
