Find a venue, send an inquiry or booking request, and coordinate details with the host. If the host accepts, the VenueMagnet reservation fee is processed and the booking is confirmed. The venue rental is handled directly with the host.

An inquiry is for questions and availability checks. A booking request is a specific request to reserve dates and times. The host can accept, reject, or counter a booking request.

You’ll add a payment method when submitting a booking request. If the host accepts, VenueMagnet charges the $29 reservation fee. The venue rental, deposit and any additional charges are paid directly to the host under the terms you agree on together.

Yes. Refund eligibility depends on the host’s cancellation policy and timing. Review the terms shown during checkout and see the Refund Policy for details.

If rejected, you can submit a new request with different times or choose another venue. If the host counters, you can accept or reject the counter. A counter is not confirmed until you accept it.

Some hosts require guests to carry event or production liability insurance and provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before the booking. Even when the host does not specifically require it, consider whether insurance is appropriate for your activity.

Events and productions can involve liability for injuries, property damage, equipment damage, and the actions of attendees, crew members, vendors and contractors. Guests are responsible for determining and obtaining appropriate coverage for their activities.

VenueMagnet does not provide insurance or verify that a policy covers your booking. Ask the host about insurance requirements before purchasing a policy, including any required coverage limits, COI or Additional Insured status. Explain your planned activity to a licensed insurance professional and confirm that the coverage applies to it.

Coverage varies by policy and may include exclusions, limits and conditions. A COI or Additional Insured status does not guarantee that a particular claim will be covered. Learn more in our Safety & Payments FAQs.

Sometimes. Permits depend on the activity and local rules. If you’re filming, bringing a crew, using amplified sound, or placing equipment outside, ask the host what their property allows and check your city’s requirements.

The exact address is typically provided after a booking is confirmed. Many hosts share general location details up front, then provide the full address once the reservation is accepted and paid.

Often, yes. Message the host as early as possible. Rescheduling depends on the host’s availability and cancellation terms, and may require a new booking request.
