Safety & Payments

VenueMagnet uses Stripe, an established global payment processor, to securely process reservation fees. Stripe is certified as a PCI Level 1 service provider, the highest level of certification available for payment service providers. Learn about Stripe's payment security standards.

Guests add a payment method when submitting a booking request. VenueMagnet only charges the reservation fee when the host accepts the request, or when the guest accepts a counter-offer. The venue rental, deposit, and any other host charges are paid directly to the host using the method the host and guest agree on together.

Hosts and guests are responsible for determining and maintaining insurance appropriate to their property, activity and booking. Existing homeowners, renters, commercial or other insurance may exclude or limit coverage for paid events, productions or short-term venue rentals. Review your coverage with a qualified insurance professional before hosting or participating in a booking.

VenueMagnet does not verify insurance coverage. Confirm with your insurance provider that coverage applies to your specific property and planned activity.

Short-term event or production insurance may be available for your booking. Availability, pricing, exclusions and limits depend on the activity, dates, location, attendance and other details.

Before purchasing, ask the host about required coverage limits, a Certificate of Insurance (COI), and any Additional Insured requirements. Explain your planned activity to a licensed insurance professional and confirm that the policy applies to it.

EventHelper (TheEventHelper.com) is an independent third-party insurance provider. Mentioning it is not an endorsement or a guarantee by VenueMagnet that a particular policy will cover your booking. Review the policy terms and confirm coverage directly with the provider.

Requirements vary by venue and activity. Hosts may require specific liability limits and Additional Insured status for the host, property owner, property manager or other appropriate parties. VenueMagnet does not set a universal minimum policy limit.

Ask the host what they require and discuss those requirements with your insurance provider before purchasing.

A Certificate of Insurance provides insurance information; it does not create or change coverage. Additional Insured coverage depends on the policy and applicable endorsements. Neither a COI nor Additional Insured status guarantees that a particular claim will be covered.

For an emergency or immediate safety concern, contact emergency services first. Hosts and guests should then notify appropriate insurance providers and preserve relevant documentation.

VenueMagnet support may assist with platform records and communications but does not act as an insurer or claims administrator.

For an emergency or immediate safety concern, contact emergency services first. Document the condition with photographs or video as soon as practical and communicate through VenueMagnet messages so there is a record.

Hosts and guests are responsible for addressing damage between themselves and with their insurance providers when applicable. VenueMagnet does not provide property-damage insurance or adjudicate insurance claims.

VenueMagnet's refund policy applies to the reservation fee only. If the host cancels, the guest's reservation fee is refunded; if the guest cancels, the reservation fee is non-refundable. Any separate venue rental payment is handled directly with the host. Review the Refund Policy for full details.
