About the Venue
FilmGate Miami Downtown Media Center offers an intimate creative setting for private screenings, workshops, table reads, casting sessions, panel discussions, meetups and small cultural events in the heart of Downtown Miami. The space is especially useful for filmmakers, educators, nonprofit groups and creative teams that need a focused room with built-in presentation tools rather than a conventional banquet environment. A theater stage, projection screen, microphones and sound equipment support screenings and spoken programs, while the central location makes the venue practical as a production basecamp or gathering point for projects taking place elsewhere downtown.
The private theater seats approximately 35, and the broader general-event configuration can accommodate up to 60 guests with an additional breakout room available for larger groups. Wi-Fi, restrooms, seating, a refrigerator, sink access, snack tables, elevator access and on-site parking help cover the principal needs for short events and working sessions. Light food is permitted, alcohol may be approved in advance, and the venue requires setup and cleanup to remain within the reserved period. The compact layout is best suited to programs where audiovisual presentation, conversation and creative collaboration are central.
