For Hosts
Yes. Creating a listing is free. You can build your listing, upload photos, and receive inquiries and booking requests without paying anything up front.
You’ll see the guest’s requested dates and times, guest count, and the message. You can respond, ask questions, and then accept, reject, or counter with different terms.
An inquiry is for questions and availability checks. A booking request is a specific request to reserve a time slot. Booking requests can be accepted, rejected, or countered.
After a booking is confirmed, the payout is sent to the bank account connected to your host payout setup. You’ll be able to see booking totals and payout status in your host dashboard.
Yes. You control who books your space. If a request doesn’t fit your rules or schedule, you can reject it or counter with new dates, times, or terms.
The outcome depends on the cancellation policy and how close the cancellation is to the booking start time. The booking details will reflect what applies in that situation.
You can also review the Refund Policy.
Use your listing availability controls to block dates and times you cannot host. If you’re not seeing the availability section, go to your listing dashboard and look for “Availability.”
Yes. Many hosts require a COI for certain events or productions. If you require one, mention it in your listing rules and confirm it with the guest in messages before the booking.
At this time, VenueMagnet does not collect a separate security deposit during checkout.
To manage risk, hosts should set clear house rules, require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for higher-risk bookings, and keep all approvals and agreements inside the VenueMagnet message thread so everything is documented.
If a booking feels higher risk or you’re unsure how to proceed, contact us before accepting and we’ll help you decide the cleanest approach.
