Refund Policy

This page explains how refunds work for bookings made through VenueMagnet.

Host cancellations

If the host cancels an accepted booking, the guest receives a full refund, including applicable service fees.

Host unavailability or access issues

If a guest cannot access the venue due to host unavailability or failure to provide entry, the booking is eligible for a full refund.

  • The host does not arrive or is unreachable at the scheduled start time
  • The venue is locked and access instructions do not work
  • Required access information (codes, keys, staff entry) is not provided

VenueMagnet may review message history, timestamps, and other available information to confirm access issues before issuing a refund.

Guest cancellations

Refunds for guest-initiated cancellations depend on timing:

  • 0% refund if the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the event start time
  • 0% refund if the booking was created less than 24 hours before the event start time
  • 100% refund if the guest cancels within 24 hours of making the booking
  • 50% refund if the guest cancels more than 24 hours after booking and more than 24 hours before the event

Natural disaster or emergency cancellations

If a verified natural disaster or emergency prevents a booking from safely taking place, VenueMagnet may issue a full refund, including service fees, regardless of standard cancellation timing.

Qualifying events must be supported by official advisories or confirmation that the venue or required access routes were unusable.
