Stone House Farm Venue With Modern Reception Space

Sugarhouse is a restored 1854 stone house farm in Chester that blends historic Hudson Valley architecture with a contemporary event interior. The approximately 3,500-square-foot main venue was renovated for modern celebrations while preserving the property’s rustic identity. Stone walls, open gathering areas, landscaped surroundings, and flexible indoor and outdoor zones make it suitable for weddings, showers, corporate dinners, fundraisers, milestone parties, holiday events, and styled productions. The property offers a more intimate architectural story than a hotel ballroom while still supporting a professionally organized reception.

Events of up to approximately 350 guests can be accommodated depending on the layout. The venue offers a kitchen, bar, catering options, wireless internet, accessible facilities, valet service, climate control, restrooms, and outdoor function space. Hosts may also work with approved outside caterers, which provides flexibility for cultural menus or specialized service styles. The stone exterior and surrounding grounds offer strong ceremony and portrait settings, while the updated interior can be arranged for seated dining, dancing, presentations, or lounge groupings. Sugarhouse is particularly useful for planners who want the appearance of a historic farm property without giving up practical event systems. Its balance of old stone, clean modern finishes, indoor reliability, and outdoor scenery allows the venue to support both formal celebrations and more relaxed, design-driven gatherings.
