About the Venue

Howland Cultural Center is an 1872 historic building on Main Street in Beacon with a distinctive great room used for performances, exhibitions, ceremonies, meetings, dinners, lectures, and private gatherings. The architecture, gallery walls, woodwork, and strong acoustics create a memorable environment for cultural events as well as weddings, celebrations, and creative productions. A second-level balcony overlooks the main room and adds visual depth to the interior.

The center accommodates gatherings of up to approximately 125 guests and includes a Steinway piano, wireless internet, restrooms, a courtyard, and garden areas. Outside-catering flexibility allows hosts to arrange food service around the needs of the event. The historic great room, balcony, art displays, and outdoor areas give organizers several distinct settings for performances, portraits, receptions, and filmed content.
